ビジネス英語について
今回は『ビジネス英語について』ということで、ビジネス英語について書いてみます。
ビジネス英語と聞くと英会話などより少し難しく感じる方も多いのではないでしょうか？
ビジネス英語とは日常英会話とは違い、同じ英語でもビジネスの場で使う英語ということである程度の規則性があると思います。
ビジネス英語というと頭に浮かぶのは「貿易英語」だと思います。
海外の会社と取引をする場合のビジネス文書や電話でのやり取りなどが貿易英語といわれるものだと思います。
またプレゼンなどで海外の会社に商品などを売る込むときのスピーチ。
これもただ漫然と英文を読んでいるだけでは、何も訴えかけるものがないので、ある程度のテクニックが必要だと思います。
そのテクニックを磨くためには、商社や貿易会社で働きながら学んでいくのが良いのでしょうが、商社などに就職して海外と商品の取引の仕事をしたいと考えているようなら、専門学校や通信教育などで勉強しておくのも良いと思います。
ビジネス英語の実力を測るには「日商ビジネス英語検定」があります。
３級から１級までのグレードに分かれていて、３級は入社前に身につけておくべき基礎的な英語力、１級は英語によるビジネスコミュニケーション力が、十分であるかどうかが判定できます。
最近は文書だけでなく電子メールでのやり取りも増えてきているので、ビジネス英語の分野も広くなって、時差のない対応が必要な時代になってきたと思います。
