英語学習の多読について
今回は、英語学習法の一つの多読について書いてみようと思います。
皆さん、多読ってご存知でしょうか？
多読とはその言葉通り、たくさんの英語を読む英語学習法の事です。
多読のポイントは辞書を引かないでどんどん読み進めることです。
もちろん読んでいれば分からない単語も出てくるでしょう。
多読学習法の場合、基本的に分からない単語があっても辞書を引かずに読み飛ばします。
分からない単語や文章があっても文脈からその単語や文章の意味を推測し読み進めていくようにすることで推測力がつき英語力がアップします。
また、多読することで多くの言葉を覚えることができます。
特に重要な言葉は頻繁に出てくるため多読することで自然と覚えることができます。
その他、一冊一冊読み進めることで英語に対する自信がついていきます。
多読はたくさんの本を読むことが大切です。
ですから始めるときは意気込んで難しいものを選ばず、単語数が少なめで読みやすいものを選びましょう。
そうでなければ辞書なしで読み進めることは難しいでしょう。
また簡単な内容でも興味がないものでは読む気が起こらず多読することができないので、本を選ぶときは楽しく読めるように興味があるものを選ぶようにしましょう。
もし読んでいるものがつまらなかったり難しかったりして先に進まないときは、無理をせず読むことをやめ、別のものを読むようにしましょう。
そして慣れて来たら少しずつ読むもののレベルを上げていきましょう。
