英語学習の目標の立て方について
「英語を勉強するぞ！」
と意気込んでいる人の中には、気合が先走ってしまい一気に勉強して疲れて辞めてしまう人がよく見られます。
こういう方って本当に多いんですよ(^^♪
最初は鬼のように英語学習に取り組み、数日で終わってしまい長続きしない・・・
英語学習を始めようと思い立ち、毎日３時間勉強する、3ヶ月で日常会話ができるようにする、洋画をすべて聞き取れるようにするといったハードルの高い目標を立て、途中で挫折したことがある人はいませんか？
実現不可能な高い目標を立ててしまうと、やる気だけが空回りして結局続かずに終わってしまうことになります。
がんばる気持ちは大切ですが、無理な計画をたてて止めてしまっては意味がありません。
計画を立てるときは大きな目標だけでなく、小さな目標や中くらいの目標も立てることが大切です。
漠然と1年後には英語が話せるようになる、という目標を立てても達成することは難しいでしょう。
大きな目標があるのなら必ずそれにつながる小さな目標、中くらいの目標を立てる必要があります。
例えば、通勤電車の中で毎日15分英語を聞く、会社から駅までの時間は英語を聞きながら口に出して言ってみる、英語の記事を毎日1つは読むなどが小さな目標にあたります。
中くらいの目標は1～3ヶ月で達成できるものがいいでしょう。
例えば3ヵ月後にTOEICのスコアを50点アップさせる、1ヵ月後には話すときに過去形と現在形を間違えないようにする、3ヶ月で洋書を1冊読みきるなどがあります。
目標は夢ではなく、達成できるものであることが大切です。
小さな目標、中くらいの目標を設定し、クリアしていくことで自信アップやモチベーション維持につながります。
そして、それらが大きな目標達成へとつながっていくのです。
