英語とワーキングホリデー制度について
今回は「英語とワーキングホリデー制度について」として、ワーキングホリデー制度について少し書いてみようと思います。
皆さんは、ワーキングホリデー制度ってご存知でしょうか？
言葉は殆どの方が聞いた事はあるのではないでしょうか？
また、特に海外で英語を勉強したいと考えている人なら一度は耳にしたことがあることでしょう！
ワーキングホリデーという言葉は就労を表すwork（ワーク）そして休暇を表すholiday（ホリデー）が合わさってできた造語です。
反語の就労と休暇を合わせた言葉って意味がよくわかりませんよね(^^ゞ
通称ワーホリと呼ばれるこの制度は最長１年間、海外でその文化を感じながら休暇を過ごし、またその滞在資金を補うため一時的に就労することが許されている制度のことです。
ワーホリはお互いの国の相互理解、友好関係などを深め促進することを目的とした制度で、英語を勉強するなら海外で実際に英語を使いながら身に着けたい、留学ではなくやりたいことをしながら英語を勉強したい、旅行をしながら英語を身につけたい、お金があまりないので働きながら海外での生活を楽しみたいなどさまざまな目的を持った人が活用しています。
ワーホリは行った国で働くことができ資金面での心配が少ないため、英語に興味があり一度海外で生活してみたいと言う人には手軽な制度といえるでしょう。
ワーホリ制度は申請条件があるので興味がある人はワーホリ制度のある英語圏の国（イギリス、カナダ、オーストラリア、ニュージーランド）の大使館サイトをチェックしてみるといいでしょう。
この制度の申請条件をクリアしているけれど英語が話せなくて不安と言う人は、英会話学校やホームステイがついたパックなどを出しているサポート会社がたくさんあるので利用するといいでしょう。
少し英語に自信がついた方が行く場合が多いのですが、やはり英語の習得には最も効果があるような気がします・・・
