英語テストＴＯＥＦＬとは
英語のテストとして、「英語テストTOEICとは」「英語テスト英検とは」ですでに2種類ご紹介してきましたが、今回は英検やTOEICと並び、日本でよく知られている英語テストの一つ「ＴＯＥＦＬ」について書いてみようと思います。
皆さんは、英語のテストTOEFLご存知でしょうか？
留学を考えている方ならTOEFLを知らない人はいないでしょう。
TOEFLとはTest of English as a Foreign Languageの略で英語を母国語としない人の英語力を測るテストで、トーフルと読みます。
TOEFLは英語圏の大学や大学院に通いたいと考えている人が授業についていけるだけの英語力があるかを測るテストであるため、英検やTOEICと比較すると受験対象者がかなり絞られているといえるでしょう。
TOEFLを受ける人の多くが英語圏の国への大学や大学院留学を目指しています。
それは、英語圏（アメリカ、カナダ、英国、オーストラリアなど）の大学や大学院のほとんどが留学生の入学条件にTOEFLのスコアを設定しているからです。
TOEFLにはTOEFL PBT（ペーパー版TOEFLテスト）、TOEFL CBＴ（コンピューター版TOEFLテスト）、TOEFL iBT（インターネット版TOEFLテスト）がありましたが、現在日本ではCBTが廃止となり、PBTの実施もかなり減っています。
そのためこれからのTOEFLはTOEFL iBTが主体であるといえるでしょう。
